PCB Wants Afridi to come back ?
Why does PCB wants to bring Shahid Afridi back for Test ?. Did we had enough of Afridi for both ODI and Test ?. To decide about it, lets have a brief look at his averages :

Fellows, as you have seen from the averages and the number of runs scored in the every form of International Cricket, it seems that the opposite decision has been made !. The days for Afridi in ODI are over, as far as I think. PCB should now think to get some new blood in the ODI. Simply, you can not trust Afridi to get the team in to the winning track. Once in while he makes some good hitting to make the team win the match. And how many times did he did that ?, you know the answer. Every time I am watching the Pakistan team playing and Afridi coming to bat, I had already made up my mind that he is going to get out on the very next ball, and many many times, my predictions are correct. The thing is that you need to teach the guys the sense and tactics of International Cricket. Cricket is getting more and more scientific these days, so guys, you had to be on your toes !.
So bye bye dude !

I totally agree with the viewpoint expressed by you. However I am of the opinion that Afridi is neither suited for ODIs nor for Test Arena. His incompetency can be judged from the fact that he has played more than 200 ODIs, and averaging round about 22, most of the time batting as an Opener. This record is pathetic to say the least. But as we all know, in Pakistan a player is inducted into the Test or ODI squad not only on the basis of his performance. There are other hidden factors also and an incomepetent player, if given an open chance will at some day start scoring runs. But Afridi on that front has been a disappointment to say the least as his intermittent failures and sudden rush of blood and have cost the team dearly in so many international matches.

[…] I think you made a wrong decision to retire from Test Cricket. Your decision to retire from Test shows your understanding of Cricket. If you dont know (I can not understand why you dont know this) Test Cricket, is the true spirit of Cricket. If a player is not intrested in playing Test Cricket, then he should not be included in the ODI Team as well. In the light of decision that you made not to play Test Cricket, i think you should again have a look at your decision, and retire from ODI as well. […]
