Jayawardene and Sangakkara create a record

Jayawardene and Sangakkara have created a new world record for the the highest score for 3rd Wicket. A list of other records for highest parternships in Test Cricket are here. Both of these are technically good batsman, with Sangakkara having the power to hit ball around the park, and Jaywaradene to play nice and delicate shots on the ground. Good signs for Sri Lanka.

The National Field Hockey team of Pakistan, who have been on the very few teams who had won Chapions Trophy, Wold Cup, Olymic Gold Medal and Asian Games winners have lost the match to Holland by 9-2.
