After getting numerous warnings, criticizing PCB, writing apology letter to the PCB, it looks like the number of days for Shoaib Akhtar (stats) are now over. He has been banned for 5 years!, Cricinfo.com has a timeline for the events.
I personally think that they gave Shoaib lot more of time than they would really wanted, he is surely a match winning player, but how long would PCB wanted to give some one who can create indiscipline within the team as a part of the team.
On the other hand Danish Kaneria (stats) has been given forgiveness as it was his first offense, and Danish needs to learn a lesson from this too.
