No CoD 3 for PC

without comments

First there was Medal of Honor from EA. Then the team splitted and then they created a complete new game called Call of Duty. CoD or Call of Duty was a huge success due to intense enviroment with some of the best sound effects that you could ever hear !. Game play, level you name it and CoD had the best of it. Then they release CoD on Consoles. Now, a new mission pack or extension for Call of Duty for PC was released Call of Duty : United Offensive. Then CoD2 for PC and XBox 360. Now this report says that there may not be any CoD3 for PC, but only for PS3, XBox 360 and Nintendo Wii !. WTF ??, a game which became populat only because of the PC version and it never exisited on the Consoles is now going only Consoles. I can not believe this thing. Total crap !!. We PC Gamer are stabbed right at our back by the Developers/Publishers. This is #$%@#@. Black day for PC Gamers.

Learning from mistakes

without comments

I have been always intrested in gaming consoles such as PlayStation, XBox and Nintendo’s. The internal details are the most imporant that I enjoy reading. And to add further to my joy, i came across this great article on ReedElectronics. Quote :

Those goals fit well with the choice of IBM and ATI for the two pieces of silicon that would account for more than half the cost of the box. Each chip supplier moved forward, based on a “statement of work, ” but Gibson kept his options open, and it would be months before the team finalized a contract. Both IBM and ATI could pull blocks of IP from their existing products and reuse them in the Microsoft chips. Engineering teams from both companies began working on joint projects such as the data pathway that connected the chips. ATI had to make contingency plans, in case Microsoft chose Intel over IBM, and IBM also had to consider the possibility that Microsoft might choose Nvidia.

Intresting read.
